Albatros Software Update V4.0.0 – Discover the Key Features!
Albatros Version 4.0.0 includes a wide range of enhancements across several modules—designed to make your daily work easier, faster, and more flexible for both your team and your golfers. Here’s an overview of the most important key features.
1. Start Wishes for Team Competitions
This new feature allows teams playing formats such as Fourball, Scramble, or other team-based competitions to submit a preferred tee time. Depending on the club’s configuration, teams can either choose from specific available time slots or indicate a general time preference such as “early” or “late.”

2. New Cash Up Process
The redesigned cash up process makes it easier to manage and reconcile payments and top-ups at the end of the day. All transactions are now clearly displayed in the user interface, allowing staff to quickly spot and correct payment type errors directly within the cash up wizard—no need to switch between multiple reports.
The process also supports the counting of all payment types, including credit cards. A new summary report can be printed directly to a POS printer for convenient documentation.

3. Prepaid Rounds & Points Cards Extensions
New enhancements offer greater flexibility for managing prepaid rounds and points cards. Clubs can now define specific courses where a points card can be used for green fees or rentals – ideal for tailored offers or course-specific promotions. In addition, points cards can now be assigned to multiple customers, and both the number of points and expiry date can be adjusted manually for even more control.

4. Reservation Module Enhancements
Several requested features have been added to make reservation handling even more efficient including:
4.1. View selected customers: Staff can now view customers via the tee sheet toolbar. Hovering over the customer selection provides an easier overview of players and enables faster implementation of booking edits if needed. This saves time in daily operations, improving efficiency.
4.2. Full-day mini-map: A compact overview of all tee times for the day, visualised in a condensed format to reduce scrolling will soon be available. The map enables users to quickly identify gaps, peak times, and bottlenecks. It als simplifies schedule navigation and improves course and staff planning.
Please note that the full-day mini-map is shown automatically in ‘one tee’ view. To view it in ‘two tee’ mode, a widescreen display setup is required.
4.3. Flight with Dogs: Clubs that allow dogs can now indicate this on the tee sheet using a dog icon. Golfers using A9 Online can also indicate that they are playing with a dog by selecting the relevant option. This helps staff manage the pace of rounds more effectively and informs pairing/grouping decisions. Furthermore, this feature increases transparency and improves the service provided to golfers, helping them decide whether to choose a tee time close to a flight with dogs when booking online.
To activate this feature, go to the ‘Customisation’ tile, then ‘Reservations’, and set ‘the Enable flights with dog’ slider to ‘Yes’ under ‘General settings’.
5. Multi-Entity Subscriptions
If your club operates across multiple sites and you are already using our multi-entity feature, you are now able to view customer subscriptions across entities.

In addition to the features presented here, our development team has implemented numerous other enhancements as part of Release V4-0-0 – including improvements to multi-round scoring. For Eclectic formats, tiebreaker rules are now available, including methods such as “By Handicap,” “Last Holes,” and “Hard/Easy Holes.”
